I'm (often) confused. If the land was "administratively retired and bought out by private funding from the Sagebrush Habitat Conservation Fund [SHCF]and other conservation interests," how can the Forest Service just move in 650 cows whenever it feels like it? I could not find an explanation on the SHCF website. Is there anything that can be done?

And, yes, Trump is hellbent on getting rid of our public lands. Degrading them completely is one way to do that, and cows are the perfect tool of destruction. Cows on public lands provide only ~2% of the beef Americans eat, so there is no beef crisis. This is just welfare for millionaire/billionaire ranchers (thank Karen Budd-Falen).

Still...is there nothing that can be done? Is this just another Trump "national emergency"? Could this survive a court challenge?
